The most common types of pigment enhancements focus on Lips and Eyeliner, including the Lash-enhancement tattoo, also known as invisible eyeliner. This technique subtly fills in between the lashes, creating the illusion of thicker, darker, and completely full lashes without the appearance of obvious makeup. It offers versatility, allowing for application on the top, bottom, or both lash lines.
A skillfully executed eyelash enhancement is pivotal in highlighting the shape, color, and size of your eyes. Beyond the sheer convenience, the Eyelash Enhancement Tattoo serves as an ideal solution for individuals with allergies, contact lens sensitivity, dexterity challenges, vision issues, or a vibrant lifestyle. The strategic placement of color and line can also address specific eye shapes and facial asymmetry.
The Eyelash Enhancement Tattoo isn't merely a cosmetic procedure—it's a transformative experience that adds depth, definition, and lift to the eyes. The result is eyes that appear larger, more striking, and lashes that seem thicker and fuller.
For a subtle, 'barely there' effect, Lash Enhancement discreetly defines and frames your eyes. A fine line of color implanted between the lashes creates the illusion of fuller, thicker lashes. Lash Line Enhancement rejuvenates the eye area without the visible impact of makeup, delivering a naturally fuller-lash appearance.
In the realm of semi-permanent makeup, Lip Blushing is an art form. It involves a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, refining lip shape and creating the illusion of fullness.
“This treatment yields exceptionally natural results once healed. While fillers are excellent for volume, lip blush imparts a more natural look, creating the illusion of fuller lips.” Given the intricacy of this work on a sensitive area, please refer to our FAQ's page on Lip Blushing for details on contraindications and necessary preparations.
Whether the service is for eyes, lips, or scar camouflaging, the process remains consistent. A tiny mechanized needle deposits pigment into the treated area, building layers of color. This versatile technique can correct color tone disparities, address asymmetry, or enhance the desired look. Unlike traditional permanent cosmetic tattoos, this evolved service aims for natural-looking, enduring results.
How Permanent Is It?
Similar to microblading, the duration of lip blushing results varies from person to person. Generally lasting several years, the longevity depends on lifestyle factors; smoking, sun exposure, and certain skincare practices can affect the pigment's duration. Personal habits such as oil-prone skin, iron deficiency, or extensive use of exfoliating products may influence the fading process. The Lip Blushing service is designed to offer a lasting, natural aesthetic tailored to your unique features.

What to Expect From Your Appointment: Lips, Eyeliner, Powder Brows
Firstly, we begin with pout prep. A topical anesthetic is applied to pre-numb the area for 20-40 minutes. Following this, we collaborate on drawing the shape of your "new" lips, liner, or brows, ensuring your satisfaction before proceeding.
The actual procedure takes approximately 2-3 hours, varying based on your desired look. Post-appointment, expect some swelling—it is, after all, a tattoo. If needed, you can use ice to alleviate any discomfort.
Over the next week, your PMU will undergo the healing process, possibly forming scabs. Timing this phase around your schedule is crucial.
During the Healing Process:
TOUCH UPS
Allow a MINIMUM of 4 weeks for your PMU to heal before considering a touch-up appointment. This timeframe gives you the necessary period to assess if a touch-up is needed, as it takes a full 4 weeks for the color to settle.
Responsibility for Touch-Up Appointments: It is your responsibility to schedule your touch-up appointments, considering the high demand for slots. Please be mindful that if your tattoo returns too faded, additional charges may apply.
LONG TERM CARE
PLEASE NOTE: There is no guarantee of results as everyone’s outcome will vary based on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and the initial 10-day care, as well as long-term care, of your PMU procedure.

Over the next week, your PMU will undergo the healing process, possibly forming scabs. Timing this phase around your schedule is crucial.
- First Session Realities: DO NOT expect your PMU tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session; it may be a 2-step process. BE PATIENT. During the 10-day healing process, your brows may change appearance daily.
- Flaking and Dryness: Around days 4-5, you may experience flaking and dryness. DO NOT PICK your scabs; let any dryness fall off naturally to avoid patchy looks and potential scarring.
- Healing Duration: Your PMU tattoo will take up to 4 weeks to fully heal before another touch-up or session can be done. After flaking, the color may seem faint due to a fresh layer of skin healing over the tattoo. Give it a few weeks, and the color will become clearer. Daily color changes will occur until complete healing at the 4-week mark.
- Itchiness: You may experience itchiness in the PMU area after the initial 10 days for up to 2 months due to the dermal layer's healing process.
- Skin Type Considerations: Not every PMU tattoo heals clean and crisp. Oily skin types tend to heal more solid and powdery, while drier skin types tend to heal more crisp and defined. Those who bleed more may require additional touch-ups as bleeding can push pigment out during the tattoo process.
During the Healing Process:
- Sun Exposure: DO NOT expose your brows to the sun. UV rays can alter the pigment of your tattoo. After the initial 10 days, applying SPF is crucial for the longevity of your micropigmentation.
- Sweating: DO NOT sweat excessively for 10 days. Sweat contains salt, which can infect and prematurely fade your brow tattoo. Salt in sweat may also alter the color.
- Water Exposure: DO NOT run direct water on your brow tattoo, especially in the first few days. Avoid washing out any pigment during this critical period.
- Vaseline Use: DO NOT use Vaseline on your tattoo.
- Cosmetic Products: DO NOT use any makeup, creams, or exfoliants on the brows for 10 days.
- Avoid Certain Environments: DO NOT go into saunas, pools, and steam rooms.
- Facial Treatments: DO NOT get massages, facials, or other skin treatments during the healing process.
- Tanning: DO NOT go tanning, and if you do, cover your PMU tattoo, as UV rays can alter the color.
- Avoid Specific Products: DO NOT use exfoliants, retinol acids, or AHA’s on the treated area, as they can fade your tattoo prematurely.
- Laser Light Therapy: DO NOT use laser light therapy on your brow tattoo, as it can darken, lighten, and distort the pigment.

Responsibility for Touch-Up Appointments: It is your responsibility to schedule your touch-up appointments, considering the high demand for slots. Please be mindful that if your tattoo returns too faded, additional charges may apply.
- Timing of Touch-Ups: Touch-ups are typically recommended within the first 3 months after the initial appointment.
- Multi-Step Process: The touch-up process may involve 2 or even 3 steps. The first session focuses on building shape and achieving symmetry, while the second session aims to perfect the work and add density.
- Patience in the Process: Understand that achieving perfect results is a process, and multiple sessions may be necessary to achieve your desired outcome. Do not expect perfection after the first session.
- Skin Type Considerations: For individuals with darker or oilier skin, permanent makeup may not appear as bold or sharp compared to those with lighter, drier skin.
- Pigment Retention Variability: Some clients may find it challenging for their skin to retain pigment, necessitating additional sessions.
LONG TERM CARE
PLEASE NOTE: There is no guarantee of results as everyone’s outcome will vary based on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and the initial 10-day care, as well as long-term care, of your PMU procedure.
- Sun Protection: Use at least SPF 50 to protect your brows. Sun exposure can lead to fading and may alter the color of your tattoo.
- Avoid Chemical Exfoliants: Refrain from using chemical exfoliants on the PMU area, as this may cause the color to fade faster.
- Laser Procedures: Avoid laser procedures (IPL, etc.) on your PMU area, as some lasers may alter the color of the ink.
- Natural Fading Process: As the tattoo naturally fades, the color will become fainter and less defined over time.
- Maintenance Required: Regular maintenance is essential to preserve desired results. Touch-ups are typically recommended every 9 - 24 months to maintain the vibrancy of your tattoo.
- Frequency of Touch-ups: Touch-ups are generally advised every 6-12 months, with variations depending on individual factors, ranging from 1-3 years for some individuals.

The Healing Process
LIPS
For the initial 24 hours, I recommend clients gently blot their lips with a wet cotton pad and let them air dry. This helps maintain cleanliness and removes any surfaced body fluids to prevent scab formation. It's crucial to let scabs fall off naturally to avoid scarring or pigment loss. Avoid workouts and sun exposure for two weeks and postpone injections for a month. Sleeping on your face may prematurely remove scabs; therefore, the provided ointment should be applied to keep the treated area moisturized.
For Lip Blushing, do not judge results immediately; it takes 6-8 weeks to see the final outcome. The color initially appears vibrant but fades 30-50%, blending with the natural lip color. Scabbing lasts around five to seven days, with complete healing in four weeks. A touch-up appointment around six weeks may be desired, but it's not mandatory and is not included in the original price.
EYELINER
After the treatment, the skin is sensitized for ten days. Avoid makeup for five days, and allow small scabs to fall off naturally during the ten-day healing period. Expect color fading in the first two weeks, with patchy sections. This isn't eyeliner tattoo but Eyelash Enhancement, offering a natural eye enhancement. Follow post-treatment instructions, including washing the site gently, applying ointment twice daily, and avoiding certain activities.
Wait six weeks for full healing before deciding on a touch-up. Color will fade 30-40%. Cautions include not picking at the site, avoiding ointment in the eyes, and not letting the area dry completely. Restrictions encompass avoiding facial treatments, hot baths, sun exposure, and makeup for five days.
If small scabs appear, refrain from touching them; they will naturally fall off. No guarantees are implied or written if proper care is not taken. Seek immediate medical attention in case of infection.
POWDER BROWS
Healing takes 2-3 weeks for both powdered ombré and combination brows. The first three days involve darkening and subsequent scabbing, where powder brows scab in larger pieces. Initially appearing swollen and dark, the pigment gradually fades over a couple of weeks. Avoid scratching, and after 24 hours, gently pat dry if wet. Follow a similar healing process as microblading, avoiding submersing brows in water. For more details on microblading healing, click here.

Why Does Permanent Make up Fade?
Permanent makeup can fade for several reasons, and the degree of fading can vary from person to person. Here are some common reasons why permanent makeup may fade:
- Skin Regeneration: The skin naturally undergoes a regeneration process where old skin cells are replaced by new ones. This can cause the implanted pigment to gradually fade over time.
- Sun Exposure: Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun can break down the pigments in permanent makeup, leading to fading. It's crucial to protect the treated area with sunscreen to minimize UV damage.
- Skin Type: Different skin types react differently to pigments. Oily skin, for example, may cause the pigments to disperse more, resulting in a faster fade. Dry skin, on the other hand, may retain pigment better.
- Pigment Quality: The quality of the pigments used and the depth at which they are implanted can influence how long the color lasts. Lower-quality pigments or superficial implantation may lead to quicker fading.
- Body Chemistry: Individual body chemistry plays a role in how well the skin retains pigment. Factors such as metabolism, medications, and hormonal changes can impact the longevity of permanent makeup.
- Exfoliation and Skincare Products: The use of exfoliating skincare products or procedures can accelerate the shedding of skin cells, potentially causing the pigments to fade more quickly.
- Environmental Factors: Exposure to harsh environmental elements, such as chlorine in swimming pools or chemicals in skincare products, can contribute to fading.
- Unprotected Sun Exposure: Failing to protect the treated area from direct sunlight during the initial healing period can lead to premature fading.
- Color Choice: Some colors may naturally fade more quickly than others. Lighter shades may be more prone to fading than darker ones.
- Inadequate Aftercare: Not following proper aftercare instructions, such as avoiding sun exposure and using recommended skincare products, can contribute to fading.
